Apartment description: Bourgeois-bohème. If there is an apartment that its description fits the expression: "bourgeois-bohème" then here it is! A beautiful apartment in the Quartier Bastille, just 10 minutes away from Le Marais, surrounded by all the shops for a gourmet in Paris. The apartment is on the first floor, with a lift, and looks over a calm street. This two-bedroom flat, with a capacity of sleeping four, is very practical, functional and beautiful. The front door opens on to a fully equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, washing machine, toaster etc...) with a bar looking on to the sitting room and its typical Parisian windows. The master bedroom (double bed) which includes a piano has a very cosy atmosphere especially with its bookshelves, ancient books and cupboards. The second room has two separate beds (pullout beds) and its own TV. The bathroom and its large shower is very functional. Toilets are separate. The apartment, which has Internet, a flat screen TV and a Hi Fi, is beautifully and simply decorated, the furniture and all the objects that surround you are full of history. There are plenty of cupboards so you will have plenty of space to enjoy the Parisian lifestyle. The apartment is located in the Quartier Bastille, the metro stations are Gare de Lyon and Ledru Rollin which means you are two stops away from Le Marais. The area is very safe and full of restaurants; the street is very peaceful and calm. You have locally all the transports one could need (Velib, metro, bus, taxi). Nearby is one of the best Parisian markets (if not the best): Le Marché Couvert Beauvau (open every day except Monday), from exquisite cheese to butchers and fishmongers, from the best wines to the nicest vegetables, you will find in this beautiful and typical market with its galleries and stalls everything one needs to cook a gourmet dinner. Two great restaurants are also found nearby (one right bellow which has a great brunch on Sunday mornings) and the other by the Square Trousseau (called: The Square Trousseau) renowned for its food and decor. Finally just round the corner is the world famous Baron Rouge, one of the greatest wine bar in Paris: they serve typical French snacks: pâtés, ham, cheese plates with a remarkable choice of wine. To finish, you will find locally all the shops and supermarkets one could need, and that includes a great bookshop just across the street (La Terrace de Gutenberg) which has an English section. From this location you are less than 15 minutes away (by metro: Gare de Lyon) from Le Louvres and most of the Parisian monuments and museums including the Eiffel Tower. This apartment can suit a family or group of four, but also a couple or someone alone in search of a typical and beautiful Parisian holiday.
