Apartment description:

A sumptuous one bedroom apartment located on the "Rive gauche" at Saint Germain des Pres, one of the nicest areas of Paris, famous for its cafes where most of France's intelligentsia met after the Second World War (and still do).

This apartment is exquisite, beautifully decorated and spacious. Situated on the fourth floor (no lift) it has a very good light which is embellished by the quality of the decoration and the owner's taste. The living room is comfortable and has a superb apparent stone wall underlined by a massive wood beam giving to the whole apartment a sense of History and class. The bedroom is large and has its own desk and flat screen TV, creating a complete separate space in harmony with the whole apartment. The kitchen is remarkable, made with Zimbabwean granite, it offers everything a cook could need. The bathroom is well designed and cosy.

The "quartier Saint Germain des Pres" is beautiful, central and has a history to itself. Just round the corner from where you are is the famous Brasserie Lipp or the Deux Magots cafe where most French writers and thinkers met (Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir and many more). One of Paris's most important addresses for literature La Hune can be found 5 minutes away. Saint Germain des Pres is also where most Haute Couture shops can be found (Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo, Agnes B) and also perfumers such as Annick Goutal (Madonna's perfumer). You are within walking distance of Les Jardins du Luxembourg and the French Senate. All commodities are available locally.
