Description:
You are
in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Pres neighborhood of Paris on
rue Mazarine.
This is International Living's very own Paris pied-a-terre in the finest
location possible. You will find yourself just one block from the Seine
and Pont Neuf and in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres on a fashionable
street lined with art galleries and boutiques.
You will have a quiet one bedroom apartment in the famous rue Mazarine
in the St. Germain area, 6e arrondissement. It takes only 2 minutes
to walk from here to the Seine, and then, by crossing the river on the
pedestrian bridge called "La Passerelle des Arts", you are
on the Right Bank, in front of the Louvre.
Nearby Attractions:
The apartment is steps to the river Seine at Ponts des Arts and
Institut de France. The neighborhood is where everyone would like to
be, elegant and animated, walking distance to Pont Neuf, Musee d'Orsay
and Musee du Louvre. Trendy cafes and lovely restaurants all around.
The apartment is really in the heart of Paris with great galeries, shops,
boutiques and restaurants. It is 70 Square meters large and has plenty
of space for you and your friends. There is a large living room, well
equipped, an open dining room and a separate sleeping room on a quiet
court yard, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything that you might
need. The well equipped kitchen has an electric stove and oven, a refrigerator
and a coffee machine. The window in the sleeping room faces the quiet
courtyard.
This very charming, central and lovely apartment is just on the second
floor only and an easy walk and has no lift, as it is one of the very
traditional houses under the protection of the Government of France.
The apartment features nice wooden floors.
This apartment has wooden beams throughout. It comes fully furnished.
On a bright second floor (or third floor, if you are thinking in U.S.
terms,) the apartment can sleep up to four people (two in the bedroom,
and two on a sleeper sofa in the living room.) The bedroom has one large
bed. The modern double-paned windows in the living room ensure quiet
and calm on the street side. The area is famous for its elegant and
trendy streets, stylish fashion shops, a traditional elegant mall, antiques
shops, art galleries, sophisticated and traditional restaurants and
cafes. Within a short distance is the renowned Boulevard Saint Germain,
the ravishing Luxembourg Garden, the Seine River, and most of the monuments
and points of interest. Excellent quality services in the neighbourhood
include fine bakeries, selected supermarkets, and the well-known daily
Buci open air market. The nearest metro station is Odeon (line 4 and
10).
The Rue Mazarine is very central and you will be able to walk to most
major places of interest. The metro station Odeon is only 3/4 blocks
away. The shopping street Rue de Buci is right at the end of the street,
and offers the best food shops in the area: baker, pastry, cheese &
wine shop, delicatessen, French and Italian specialties, etc.
This is one of the most sought after areas in Paris. A few minutes walk
will find you at the Louvre, Notre Dame or Ile. St. Louis, or relaxing
at the Cafe des deux Magotes on the Boulevard St. Germain. In the heart
of the antiques district known as the Carre des Antiquaires, in June
the dealers put out the red carpets (literally!) and break open the
champagne for the Fete des Antiquaires. The daily street market on the
rue de Seine is remarkable! Chocolate lovers will find themselves well
placed to sample the exquisite pleasures of legendary chocolatiers Christian
Constant (37, rue d'Assas) and Michel Chaudun (149, rue de l'Universite).
