CONDITIONS (General
Terms & Conditions of Rental)
Please
print the present Conditions Agreement, read, sign and fax it to
Roots Travel at +331- 42 74 01 01
At your
arrival:
All related
information regarding your rental and address of the apartment along with
information on how to get into the building (code at the entrance) and
to your apartment (stairs or elevator to take, door of your apartment,
etc.) are included on your invoice receipt.
Check-in / Pick up of keys: There are generally two ways to pick
up the keys of your rental apartment.
1) You can either come to our office during opening hours to pick up the
keys of your rental (Monday to Saturday from 10am-1pm / 2pm to 7pm, except
Monday the agency closes at 6pm and on Saturday opens at 11am, Address:
Roots Travel, 7 rue de la Cerisaie, 75004 Paris. Metro station: Bastille,
line 1).
Or
2) for the cost of 70 euro (taxes included) you can reserve a personal
taxi one way from the airport to your rental apartment. A private taxi
will wait for you with your name on a sign at the airport or rail station
(44 euro one way), with the keys of the apartment and to take you to your
apartment. Note that this extra service can be chosen independently.
Important Note: For arrivals out of the agency's opening hours, the customer
is required to choose this service and reserve a taxi.
Check-out: For departures during opening hours of the agency: Please
indicate on your reservation the day and the time for inspection at the
apartment by our agent. For departures out of opening hours: Please
indicate on your reservation the day and time one day before your departure
for inspection during opening hours of the agency.
Assistance: In case of any problem (delay of plane, loss
of luggage, etc.) your are urged to call our agent Clement, either at
the office 01 42 74 22 33 or on his mobile phone: 06 32 44 60 88. Our
office is located at: 7 rue de la Cerisaie. 75004. Paris.
For a taxi related problem at the airport, please contact 0820 000 172
For a better
service, we recommend that you call our agency within 12 hours after your
arrival in the apartment and within 24 hours before your departure.
Check in : 13h00
/ possibility to check in before for travellers landing in earlier under
approval of the agency.
Check out is 11h00 (with possibility
to let luggage at the agency or to extend under approval of the agency).
Accommodation
conditions:
All our
independent accommodations are guaranteed in a clean state. You are responsible
for the cleanliness of the apartment during your stay and before you check
out. You're asked to use your apartment with care and respect, to leave
the apartment in the same state of cleanness as you found it, to let all
furniture at their initial place, clean all dishes you might have used
and put them away at their initial place and to empty the apartment from
any trash before your departure. You are not asked and you are not required
to wash the linens and towels.
Equipments and furniture are indicated on the web page.
The agency, in case of a major problem (death of a close relation to the
owner, water flood, etc.) can change the accommodation to a similar standing
or superior category. The guest shall reside in the premises only as a
temporary residence and shall not engage in any commercial, illegal, nuisance,
dangerous or other activity that could embarrass the agency or cause agency
to receive complaints from neighbours. The premises shall not be occupied
or left in the care of anyone not listed as a guest.
The agency shall not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage to
guest or guest's property or friends other than as a result of agency's
gross negligence. Guests must immediately notify agency if locks or doors
or windows are not functioning properly.
Security
deposit:
All independent accommodations require a deposit which is specified on
your bill. By your signature you authorise "Roots Travel" to
withdraw money from your account (your credit card) to repay any damages
caused to the accommodation during your stay.
The "security deposit" authorisation you signed shall be cancelled
after inspection by the agency and agency determines that no damage, loss
or injury (other than from reasonable wear and tear) has been done to
the premises or property therein.
Security deposit for 1 bedroom apartments and Studios:
600 euros
Security deposit for 2 bedrooms / 3 bedrooms / 4 bedrooms: 900 euros
We remind you that before inspection by our agent at the day of departure
you shall leave the apartment in the same state of cleanness as you found
it.
Special conditions: some apartments, especially for long stays, can require,
when specified on our web pages, a security deposit to be paid in cash
the day of arrival that our agent will give it back to you after inspection.
Reservation:
An account
of 25 % of the bill (as stated on the invoice agreement) is required and
the remaining balance has to be paid in full one month before arrival.
In case of high season the agency may ask the payment in full.
For monthly and long term stays, an one month rental deposit equivalent
to one month's rent is required at the time of reservation.
Additional
services:
Please precise on your Invoice Agreement if you want to reserve a taxi
to be waiting for you at the airport (70 euro fee/one way) or rail station
(44 euro fee/one way) with the keys of your rental apartment and to take
you to your apartment or if you will pick up the keys yourself at the
agency 7 rue de la Cerisaie, 75004 Paris (metro: Bastille) from Monday
to Saturday between 10 am-1 pm and 2 pm-7 pm (except Monday the agency
closes at 6pm and on Saturday opens at 11am). If you arrive out of these
open hours, you are required to reserve the taxi service.
Indicate also if you want an extra cleaning service.
Cancellation:
Cancellation
fees in case of a cancellation:
Cancellation till one month before arrival: 30 % of the bill
Cancellation between 1 month and 2 weeks before arrival: 60 % of the bill
Cancellation between 2 weeks and 1 week before arrival: 80 % of the bill
Cancellation under one week: 100 % of the bill
Note:
To ensure
a nice stay and trip to Paris the agency can inform you on your rights
concerning the neighbourhood and the location. For instance, it is important
to know the laws concerning noise (after 10 P.M. a neighbour has legal
right to complain) etc. In a case of major power or water cut the agency
cannot be held responsible, yet we recommend you call us immediately so
that we can find a solution. In the event of a water flow during a long
term stay, Guest(s) must immediately notify the agency for assistance
and to properly declare it to insurance.
The present contract has been read and approved.
